we need to set-up a counter....they are very aggressive to the ball right now...looks like gilbride is setting up some playaction...he has been all over the place
Gilbride no over using the PLAYACTION so that is still a available....Offense is still having the same trouble as last week, get cross the oppents 50 and slow down
i hope that play warms up the recievers hands and these nuts catch the ball this second half...d-fense is playing OK could be better...offense is all over the place, the 2 three and out drives were called bad, but guys are dropping passes
strahan said it at the half...guys have to tackle, there are getting to the ball, just have to make the tackles....pressure is looking good most of the time, Mcnabb is just getting rid of the ball
I think the playcalling has been subpar...but to be fair, if Hixon doesnt drop that ball he has an 85 yard TD. And if Smith doesnt drop that 4th down pass, we at least have a good chance to get some points.
look at our sack totals from the last 4-6 weeks, its a joke outside of Tuck the rest of the guys must be getting a lil worn down.....cant figure out why we have not been able to get sacks
GILBRIDE sux...why why is he our coach again? tell me one reason...he has STUNK it up today (not all his fault) but his daily grade is an f...why the heeck didint he run the ball for the first? i yard?
Gilbride is calling the RUN and SHOOT offense, i knew i saw it before...he frigging sux...he called a good game last week but we couldnt get in the endzone, now this week he is all over the place...thats 4th and 1 sums up what GILBRIDE is...a putz...that drive was a chance to atleast score and put some pressure on PHI. the O gave us nothing....as bad as the D played they have only allowed 17 points....
of course with a DALLAS lost it kind of ease the pain of the lost...but ive been saying it all year we win DESPITE GILBRIDE so dont say om just jumping on him now...he stinks he can take his Spread Offense to NoWhere University and try it there
Its fine to put blame on the coaches. But blame the players too---if Hixon makes a simple catch he has an 85 yard TD. Smith drops a huge 4th down pass. The running game outside of a few runs did nothing.
The D-line was getting pushed back by the Eagles O-line. No pass rush. Westbrook running free all day.
Nobody played well today--the team deserved to lose.
Mike i know we had some droped passes but GILBRIDE just stinks dude we have 0 points...how ever bad you think the D played the O played 100 times worst than that..they only have 20 points i know we were not the normal intense D but they only allowed 20 (17 when it really mattered) the offense didnt sniff the endzone (when it mattered) after the Eagles TD we should of run the hurry (check my earlier post) no since of urgency to me then to top it off with the 4th and 1
and umm lets not try to pile on HIXON ...PLax has dropped big passes also, as far as i am concerned he made up for the drop a showed HANDS are not a problem for him...GILBRIDE
That was the ugliest game we've played since last year against Minnesota. The wind was awful, the playcalling didn't take it into consideration, on defense we did too much to stop the pass when Westbrook is by far their best playmaker. We beat ourselves. The offense looked out of step and the playcalling wasn't effective. The defense was actually fine for most of the game but they were on the field for the whole damn thing, the fact that they only allowed 20 pts speaks highly of them. This loss is actually good, we needed a reality check. We've been winning with momentum for the last couple games cuz our running game has been stopped. We've gotta start running more three step drop west coast style passing plays. Steve Smith should start over Hixon I think. Hixon is great but I'd rather have smith out there moving the chains and giving the RB's running room. Also, why didn't we see more bradshaw? Why didn't we see more screen passes to Ward? If we had worked the game like that, this would have been a 'W.' We need to change our strategy. Also, when will Webster, Ross and Jacobs be able to play again? Their injuries seem serious. I don't think we'll really see any of them until the playoffs. Terrell Thomas is very good, but Dockery is not enough, especially if Sam Madison can't play. We might only win one more game this year if these players are out. I just can't see us beating Dallas or Carolina without them. What worries me most is that our pass rush was TERRIBLE. After the first quarter, McNabb could have taken a nap in the pocket. Awful awful awful game. Just hidious. However, despite all this, I think our boys will regroup and this will give them the nudge they need to close out the season with strength.
We already had our wakeup call, it's called the browns game. We need to run the ball but without Plax we have not been able to do so. I don't know the answer. Correct, we need a new offensive coordinator to take advantage of #44 like the eagles did with #36 today against us.
Andrew, that was a terrific recap, you stole my thunder. I think you hit most, if not all, of the points. I will be doing a recap over the next 30-60 mins, just got back from the game, but we were hitting the same pts that Andrew mentioned.
Thank you. That game made me tense so I had a lot of tension to get out. I can gauge how well the Giants played on a given day by how many cigarettes I smoke while watching. Lemme just put it this way... my ash tray is full. This is the worst kinda loss... you can't win if you don't have the ball. They beat us the way we beat them last time. They controlled possession, stopped the run and played conservatively on offense. Btw Cowboys look like they are going to beat Pittsburgh. Next week, with the taste of victory in the NFC East in our mouths, and the motivation caused by this awful loss in our hearts, the G-Men are gonna pound it next week. That being said, the Cowboys are hungry for that playoff spot... but because we are playing in Dallas and not in the windy meadowlands, surrounded by the new york media... I give the edge to us, and say we clinch it next week 31-20
lets go big blue!

ReplyDeleteNot gonna be our day.
first time I've seen Phillips blow a tackle like that
ReplyDeletevery poor execution today by the giants
ugh that play was gross
ReplyDeleteThe Eagles want this game more....the Giants are playing with zero intensity. Totally flat.
ReplyDeletewho am i watching...where have the G-men gone?
ReplyDeletebrown brown brown
ReplyDeleteMike flat is the best way to describe the D...its like almost every play we are there but the play isnt made
ReplyDeleteeli needs not the throgh a loafer in this weather

WOW!! Talk about a game-changing play!
ReplyDeleteThat totally turns this game around....
i hope that play warms up the recievers hands and these nuts catch the ball this second half...d-fense is playing OK could be better...offense is all over the place, the 2 three and out drives were called bad, but guys are dropping passes
ReplyDeletethats play just gave us some much needed life
phillips made up for the miss tackle with the black he made on LJ smith during the return...good hustle i think he blocked 2 ppl
ReplyDeletestrahan said it at the half...guys have to tackle, there are getting to the ball, just have to make the tackles....pressure is looking good most of the time, Mcnabb is just getting rid of the ball
ReplyDeleteI think the playcalling has been subpar...but to be fair, if Hixon doesnt drop that ball he has an 85 yard TD. And if Smith doesnt drop that 4th down pass, we at least have a good chance to get some points.
ReplyDeletewe have to get TDs FG are going to be almost impossible

ReplyDeleteThat looked bad that he couldnt put any weight on it
lol ward has lateral movement? what? put #44 in
ReplyDeletewe have to make them punt from inside the 30...field position is going to be key while we have the wind
ReplyDeleteI havent seen the Giants offense look this bad since the Kanell/Kent Graham era....
ReplyDeleteno more first...dont lose the field position
ReplyDeletetuck got absolutely mugged on that play

ReplyDeletethe D just look bad....same ish all day
ReplyDeleteI'm going to puke
ReplyDelete1000 3rd down pass plays and the same thing... how about a REAL DAVE BROWING blitz for a change...im seeing the same thing over and over on 3rd
ReplyDeletelook at our sack totals from the last 4-6 weeks, its a joke outside of Tuck the rest of the guys must be getting a lil worn down.....cant figure out why we have not been able to get sacks

Nobody played well today--the team deserved to lose.
