all the TV guys are picking the Sheagles...i hope the Jints know that. We have to play SMASHMOUTH football defensively. we have to get PRESSURE this game, that will make the biggest difference today
and i must say i have NEVER EVER been this nervous watching a game...my hands are shaking in anticipation....a lost might be bad for my mental health!!!
did GILBRIDE and ELI not see what the wind did to his other passes? run the DAMN BALL run the ball in the situiation and against the wind....run the ball pass when needed and get a LEAD while the wind is a against you, that is how you play NY GIANTS home footbal.....what the heck.....ALL GILBRIDE had to do was look at the OLD GMEN playoff home game.....
we have to atleast wind the field position battle on this drive....keep these dudes inside the 20...Rocca also has a good foot so we need some ruckus from the d right now!!!
with the 8 man fronts all the backs have to do is make 1 guy miss...call me crazy but i think that is what #44 does best....how long before some fire!?!?!?!?
i told you guts we needed to run counters, but with the lil guy....after the cut back on the counter it should be 6 but JACOBS is not going to be able to burst out of his cuts and we already know about his top speed
we sat there and GVE them back the lead....i dont have confidence in our Offense right now and i am sick....ELI and Gilbride have combined for a F- grade from me. i think the F-up of the day was back to back pass plays on 1 and 5...if GILBRIDE comes back again next year i might have to take a year off of FOOTBALL for my mental health stake....IM LOSING MY MIND
y, the playcalling when u r deep in their zone w 2 min warning means u should not be afraid to run the ball to wind down the clock so that the Eagles dont have much left to work with. But the officials there TOOK AWAY 5 yards from the Giants, would have been 1st and 10 instead of 1st and 5, not what Buck said.
Speaking of Buck, both Buck and Aikman are 100% on the fact that a blind man can see that Eli Manning is keeping this team from advancing in the playoffs, if he continues this play it will take a break somewhere to win. MANNING MUST WAKE UP. He is throwing wobblers against the wind and with it too. Some of his throws with the wind are sailing high. He is simply inaccurate. And we are suffering. ALSO, remember what Carl Banks said Monday, that the team has a weakness with red zone inefficiency, we got stopped twice in the red zone and settled for FGs, add the missed FG and we are pulling a Tennessee Titans here, outplaying this team and losing. There is a lot of football left, but either you execute NOW or you go home. Also, DL was getting some push earlier, now it is not getting push, and that was why the last drive by the Eagles worked. GET in McNabb's face or suffer the consequences. Am very happy w the Boss receptions, but Manning inaccurate almost everywhere else.
GILBRIDE has got to go....im going to register GILBRIDESTINKS.com...ANDY, you have great writing ability(i think so) help me compile the reason why...anyone can join in
someone needs to ELI in the chest and tell em lets get serious out here....we need a TD not another FG...they will have the WIND in the 4th Q....whats this crap about the HC donsnt like to play the WIND GAME?
haha the "BEST" run O.....ELI needs to check himself.....If for some odd reason we keep GILBRIDE Mr. Reese we need a #1 reciever for his god awful offensive scheme..personally i would like us to get an OFFENSIVE coordinator from the PARCEL's tree because this OFFENSE will not and cannot work in NJ in PLAY-OFFS
i said during the week i had NO CONFIDENCE in Gilbride to do the right things.Eli played like shELI today. dont even bring up PLAXICO becuase he has been gone forever now...
Hey ANDY what you gonna do for GIANTS DRAFT coverage this year? HAHA
Over and done.....They beat themselves and got help from Gilbrown deluxe. God, I hate gilbrown. Eli blows too and no contract until he learns how to throw a freaking spiral.
you know i even forgot about the missed FG's SPECIAL TEAM needs to get addressed KICKER and return guys...is there any argument for KEEPING GILBRIDE? i hope for some reason SPAGS stays on board, he can get back to old form with OSI back
1. Coughlin defers (as he did the last time against Philly on a windy day)...result bites him in the ass again! In Giants Stadium, the credo is: YOU TAKE THE WIIND!
2. We get a great kickoff return by Bradshaw to open the game and settle for a field goal.
3. Defense plays well we get the ball & Eli throws an INT, and give up a TD.
4. We are running the ball well with Jacobs and after 2 series we start alternating with Ward which is not effective.
5. The "old" Eli Manning returns and what does he end up with a QB rating of 30?
6. Have to settle for field goals which we make 3 and miss 2. Terrible Job.
7. Once again we can't convert on 3rd down and we can't stop 3rd down conversions.
8. I am tired of seeing Antonio Pierce time after time taking the same penalties to extend drives.
9. Out Coached, Outwitted & Outplayed...we get kicked off the Island.
1) OC who can use his running game to his advantage. What the brown, not using play action. No slants, wuick timing routes, RB flares----higher percentage of execution plays when your QB blows.
2) QB coach to teach him how to throw a freaking spiral.
3) New middle LB and speed at LB.
4) A hog NT to clog the middle.
6) Anquan Bolden or a freakin tall security blanket for a QB who consistently throws high floaters.
7) Spags to beat the Brown out of Gilbrown in the tunnel after the game.
D wasn't great but they did enough to keep them in the game due to an incompetent O and OC. Look for Andy's letter bomb in the mail to you know who.
i expect to start hearing those dumb-asses over at ESPN to start talking about home-field in the playoffs...dont be surprised to hear one of them (prob dumb-ass MERRIL HOGE)that barely making the play-offsis good and playing in the first round is now and advantage....also how come when a DEFENSICE coordinators calls a bad game it is called out but GILBRIDE gets a pass?
all the TV guys are picking the Sheagles...i hope the Jints know that. We have to play SMASHMOUTH football defensively. we have to get PRESSURE this game, that will make the biggest difference today

ReplyDeleteam i CRAZY? get #44 in the game, and we need a counter play
ReplyDeletethe eagles are OVER committing to the run on 1st AND 2nd down, a screen would be perfect right now, the secondary would be bare

ReplyDeleteWe should be up 12 right now

ReplyDeletethat ws like a punt good job D fense
ReplyDeletethat should of been #44 man damn....that was TD blocking he got grabed from behind....
ReplyDeletei told you guts we needed to run counters, but with the lil guy....after the cut back on the counter it should be 6 but JACOBS is not going to be able to burst out of his cuts and we already know about his top speed
ReplyDeleteno DUMB throws ELI be a vet, be smart we are range for 3
ReplyDeletethey are taking away yards now? after what happend with BALTIMORE yesterday?
ReplyDeleterun the ball...1st and 5? oh my gosh
ReplyDeletewhat are they doing?
ReplyDeletether goes the dumb pass...what the hell is wrong with these guys? why not run the ball we need 5
ReplyDelete1st and 5 we pass the ball twice? did they not just miss a FG we need to run a draw play
ReplyDeletei hate that GUY named GILBRIDE...i cant beilieve this first half PLAYCALLING and QBing
ReplyDeleteif CARNEY misses again im am going to need a LONG WALK down the street without a JACKET
ReplyDeleteHAVE to get good coverage on KICKOFF

ReplyDeleteBRIAN you called it, and ANDY said it a while ago....PREVENT only PREVENTS you from winning....a cant believe all the cushin they gave JASON AVANT!!!
ReplyDeletey, the playcalling when u r deep in their zone w 2 min warning means u should not be afraid to run the ball to wind down the clock so that the Eagles dont have much left to work with. That was an EXTREMELY SAD offensive performance.
ReplyDeletePriotities for 2009
1--Fire Gillbrown, hire an aggressive O.C. I hope Gerry Reese
has the guts to do this. Because
it is the Offense that has
killed us
2--Pick up a stud deep threat wideout in free agency
3--Get some LB's with speed

ReplyDeleteNature
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that the playoff advantage goes to the teams that are hot going in. We were hot last year
going in, cold this yearr.
Plus we have a bad O.C.
Eli needs a QB coach who will change his mechanics, so he will be able to cope with the wind in the Meadowlands.
ReplyDeleteThis has to be done. He is the QB for the next 10 years. This must be priority one.
We need a prototypical WR. Either through trade, free agency or draft. ( Anquan Bolden would do just fine)
Revamp the LB corps. I don't know if the plan is to have Kiwanuka back there next season. But they need athletes there with speed.
We need a new OC. I know the Giants like to promote from within, so I would be OK with Chris Palmer as long as Gilbrown is gone.
Get ready for a new DC. Probably Bill Sheridan or Peter Guinta. I hope they employ the same philosophy as Spags.
I guess I'm just venting...the wound is still fresh.
