"If you are a Giants ticket holder, you know better than anyone that you weren't able to avoid the PSL plague. And if you have been one of the approximately 8 million people on the most famous waiting list in sports, you also know that -- because chances are you have been called in recent weeks, seeing if you wanted to fill unoccupied seats. The Giants aren't like the Jets; generally, they do everything right, especially when it comes to their fans. And it doesn't matter. Right is right. And mad is mad.
Think of what you have done, fans. In the last few months, you have shrunk the most intimidating list in all of fandom to practically nothing."
Ultimatenyg here. Vaccaro paints us out to be the gallant knights, defeating the scourge of greed. What simply happened is that the drug dealers got so full of themselves that they thought the addicted fans would pay almost ANY price. And the amazing thing is, they would have. Except for the recession. Here's to hoping the new reality lasts a little while and that fans can keep Vaccaro's discipline a little longer than I think they will.

Gilbrown had some recent observations...
There's no getting around the fact that the loss of Plaxico Burress is "huge," according to Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride. And replacing the production of Burress and Amani Toomer won't be easy.
But now that Gilbride has gotten a good look at his two rookie receivers, he's not as worried as so many others seem to be. "I can't help but think that we've got enough parts," Gilbride said Tuesday. "That some way, somehow we'll find a way to move the ball like we need to - again, like we did last year."
Maybe that's just the optimism of the offseason, but Gilbride and receivers coach Mike Sullivan expressed confidence in the Giants' remaining receivers. The coaches liked what they saw out of Hakeem Nicks and Ramses Barden at last weekend's minicamp. They're encouraged by the development of Mario Manningham and think Steve Smith can expand his role. And they even see a bigger role for the forgotten Sinorice Moss.
The plan, for now, is to go into training camp with Smith and Domenik Hixon as the starters and Moss filling the third-receiver role. Smith, who played mostly as a slot receiver last year, will also get a chance to fill Burress' old role on the outside. Manningham and Nicks will get chances to push for playing time, and the 6-6 Barden figures to be a big option in the red zone.
"Losing Plax is huge (and) it doesn't take a brain surgeon to see what our record was after he left," Gilbride said. "I don't know if you replace a guy like that. But hopefully, collectively we've got enough quality young players. We believe we do."

We've been through this too many times to count. Banks, Toomer and this blog said the same things about Gilbride and the offense, no need to repeat it at this point.
