I guess that bonus check cleared

I was wrong. I thought that Burress showed tremendous heart in playing hurt all year; he carried the offense on many a Sunday. So when he wanted a new contract, I felt the guy deserved it. But to go back to his old ways and get suspended, what kind of immature bs is that? It is but three games after getting the new contract and he disrespects himself, his teammates, the entire organization, the league and lastly us as fans. What excuses could Plax have this time? NONE. There is no defending him. In fact, he is the last player on the team who should be doing something like this. When you consider how deep this team is at WR, he will not be missed (well, ok, he'll be missed, but not a lot). What kind of example is this to the younger players? This comes from one of your star players? He is a quiet guy, so ... leadership by example..? Plax's leadership boils down to this- that bonus check cleared, kiss my diva a**.

We hear Plax is appealing, because he feels the fine is excessive. Whatever happened to missing work and calling in to explain? Coughlin did the right thing- no player is above the team. Ridiculous. No winners in this one. Except the Burress bank account.

Lets not be too quick to make this call. Heck, I don't even have half the story. This will go to arbitration, so we will see what happens. I will say this, if Plex becomes bitter, it would be best for all concerned to trade him.

i doubt plax will become bitter--hopefully he will be more motivated to make it up--he knows he or his agent should have called. arbitration will set it straight and both parties will abide. but i agree the giants should have penalized him somehow. team comes first.

Nerthjersey.com reports that his home has been scene of a few 'domestic disturbance' calls in the past month or two. Even more the reason to pick up the phone and call the coach. Instead, his privacy is breached. The guy has problems, he and his family obvly need help.

I love the idea of Smith and Hixon getting more time against a weak seattle defense... HOWEVER. Looking at the playcalling issues from the Bengals game, we should all be concerned. Even with plax in the game, Gillbride almost refused to pass the ball til the end of the game. Now without plax, I AM SURE, that he will run the rushing game into the ground. Therefore because of this, the Seattle game will come down to one thing, can earth, wind and fire consistently make plays against a seattle team that will be heavily defending against the run? I think they can, especially if we actually get a chance to see Bradshaw! Where the F has bradshaw been, he's too talented to relegate to special teams. This could be a trouble week for us if Seattle's offense has a surprise good game. Otherwise, our D will beat them up at the line of scrimmage and truly exploit their lack of playmakers.
