Wonder's Jints' BITS !!

some observations:

1. The main reason our pass rush has been weak lately is that we are NOT getting the push up inside..Robbins is not blowing up the pocket the way he was earlier in the season..as a result, the OT's can push Tuck, Kiw OUTSIDE, which forces their QB's to step up in the pocket...which, at least recently, has led to success for our opp...what do we do ? we either run stunts with Tuck looping around up the middle (which takes TIME) or, as I prefer, we randomly mix in blitzes RIGHT UP THE MIDDLE..do not let their QB be comfortable and "step up" inside...

2. The coaching staff MUST stay on Eli to use his LEGS when throwing, particularly in bad weather..he must STEP/LEAD forward with his LEFT leg "aiming" at his target...the superior footwork will enable him to be successful in the wind/cold..I actually believe there's a part of Eli that's "afraid" to step up and follow through b/c of the fear of banging his hand/thumb against a helmet as well as increasing the chance of taking a brutal hit...he must have FAITH in his OL to allow him to FINISH his toss....

3. Gilbride MUST get his offense to focus on PLAY-ACTION and short, timing routes in the next 3 games as they will be CRITICAL for our playoff run...win or lose, Eli must get COMFORTABLE with our game plan for the playoffs..and Toomer, Smith, and Boss must have expanded roles in the short/intermediate game..also, Hix MUST develop a better rapport with Eli in the 10-15 yd. range...the double moves/faking a skinny post/to complete a 15 yd out MUST be part of the plan...

4. These items MUST be addressed and implemented in the Cowboys' game...even if we lose, we MUST be "comfortable" and READY with our new identity (w/o plax) for the Panther game !!

go JINTS !!

What we found out is that the defending Super Bowl champions are beatable.

They are beatable at home.

They are beatable in the division.

But at 11-2, the Giants are no less of a Super Bowl favorite now than they were a month ago. (I really do believe that)

The Eagles played better than the Gmen...that's it!

But like the Giants' Monday night loss to the lowly Cleveland Browns in October, you can write this one off as an off-day by the Giants, and they don't have many of those, it was only their second loss in the last 17 games.

It was a must-win game for the Eagles This was their Super Bowl.

Not so for the Giants.

Philadelphia needed to upset the Giants to keep its playoff hopes alive. At 7-5-1, the Eagles remain in the mix.

At 8-5, the Cowboys have a half-game lead on the Eagles. Philly closes the season at home against the Cowboys.
The Cowboys must first play the Giants & Ravens. The Eagles play the Cleveland Browns and the fading Washington Redskins.

So, you could say that the Cowboys are more desperate than our Giants. Yes, we don't have Jacobs. and yes we don't have Plax. But I contend that the 'Boys are about to self destruct. There is alot of player unrest due to who else? T.O. ("that's my quarterback") They are really banged up in the secondary as well. That is where Eli will go tomorrow as I'm sure the 'Boys will put 8 in the box to stop the run game. For some reason I sense a new hero tomorrow that seems to be what the Giants are about these days....maybe Danny Ware?

If we do lose it won't be catastrophic, (but we all want to step on the Cowgirls' necks and end their season) because next week against Carolina will be the big one!

But these wild-card berths are for teams such as the Cowboys, Eagles and Falcons to sort out.

The Giants have the rest of the month to straighten themselves out.

Wonder what is your flat-ouy opinion on Gilbride...

You make a great point about the short passing game, you would think it would be in the game plan in bad weather..and if i see us do the pitch to Bradshaw out of the shotgun im going to freak out...

I think Hixon can beat Dallas deep...Newman is always banged up and the other CB's are wet behing the ears.

As much as i hate the Cowgirls loosing this game isnt the end of the world, and resting anyone injured this week would be smart...Carolina is the important game

If Killdrive didn't learn to change the game plan due to conditions after the Washington debacle last year I don't think he is ever going to learn. I think Wonder's would like to take Manidiot and Killdrive and put them as head coach and OC for the Pat's, that way it's an easy win twice a year for his Jets.
