Bradshaw speaks

Giants.com interviewed Ahmad Bradshaw

On the opportunity this year to be the #2 behind Jacobs: (wide smile) "one of the biggest years of my life"

On the duties of the #2, catching out of the backfield, screens: "that is one of the biggest characteristics of my game, catching the ball, running outside the backfield, and being able to get around the edge. Our offensive coordinator is helping me and our offense do that."

Am I dreaming, or what? Has the bulb finally lit in Gilbrown's head?

I'm sorry Andy, I'll believe it when I see it.....but it sure does sound great.

All he has to do is hold onto the damn the ball and he is going to light it up. It's his third year, he knows this is his moment, he is going to get the oppty, just stay healthy and kick some a**.

This is not a dream. All it is is Reese being smart of enough to realize that it is not necessary to pay Ward what Bradshaw and Ware can do while still on their rookie contracts. And this kid Andre Brown is going to be a good one too. LOADED AT RB. AGAIN.

Hakeem Nicks inks a 5 year deal!

You've got to appreciate how Jerry Reese operates. Now Nicks in camp tomorrow getting all his necessary reps!

i just saw espn's 2008 ny giants highlights and boy is bshaw scary explosive!!! i agree with andy f--just hold on to the ball. with ware and brown adding to the depth, i have zero worries about rb. i laugh at all those writers being concerned about losing ward. lol

xtian- these same writers were also the same ones selling newspapers about the nightmare of no longer having Tiki Barber in the backfield. We noted that Jacobs did great in '06, he would handle the load fine, that Ward was fine, and we were also excited about a kid named Bradshaw in the preseason of his rookie year. Remember, it was the first camp WITHOUT TIKI, and Reese was selling off Ryan Grant because we were so loaded (Droughns was the 4th RB). So when Ralph V worries about all the carries for Bradshaw, the ONLY reason could be his durability, NOT because of the depth of Ware AND Brown behind HIM, the #2. Barring a major rash of injuries at this position, we've been sleeping and will continue to sleep like a baby with regard to this position. To quote you, "LOL." Again.

Now, as for LBer, that is a horse of a different color. S and OL are also thin.
